Lee Kronenberg, brilliant scientist

Born Dec 2, 1946, died
Lee Kronenberg was a brilliant scientist, best remembered at Wilson
High for having rigged the PA system to dismiss the school while the seniors were rehearsing for graduation. He did original research on interferon and produced it for research labs around the world. He passed away over 15 years ago leaving behind his ex-wife Ruth and two wonderful daughters - Anna (a psychologist who married a young lawyer from the San Diego DA's office, Chris Moon, and has two daughters) and Becky (who graduated with honors from UC San Diego and has a daughter). His daughters are my god-children.

Candy Stabrawa MacGowan Parrish

 8/11/46 -  3/29/2014

Candy Stabrawa MacGowen Parrish was working on her PhD in Anthropology when diagnosed with terminal brain and lung cancer and given 3 months to live. Instead, she lasted over two years, long enough to see her daughter Alex's pregnancy and the birth of her grandson Brixton, and with time enough to babysit with him and get to know him. She also created a hilarious cartoon strip called Harriet McGorglesplonk. She was smart, funny and optimistic to the end.
