Caterina by Moonlight
Praise for Caterina....
The love that Kim Gottlieb-Walker has for her period and characters shines through, right from the first tender scene between five-year-old Caterina and her father as he — out of necessity — deposits her in a Florentine convent. Later, the author fearlessly tackles the rock star Medici brothers, Giuliano and Lorenzo, and the women who defined them, during the most turbulent time of their lives. All Caterina by Moonlight’s meticulous research lies comfortably on the story, like historian and novelist Rosalind Miles once instructed other writers “…like a lady’s slip. She must always wear one, but it should never show.”
A terrific debut.

— Diana Mathur, MBA, novelist, author of The Ghastly Tear
“Kim Gottlieb Walker has infused her lavish renaissance novel ‘Caterina By Moonlight’ with ample romance and adventure that readily draws the reader into the era, the characters, and the next intriguing page.”
— Terry J. Erdmann, co-author, “Labyrinth: The Ultimate Visual History; The Art of Star Trek Discovery.
THIS STORY IS FANTASTIC! IT IS DEEPLY COMPELLING AND BEAUTIFULLY RENDERED. I WANTED TO KEEP READING! I WILL DEFINITELY BUY A COPY AFTER IT’S PUBLISHED! THIS STORY IS IMAGINATIVE AND IMMERSIVE. I CAN TELL A LOT OF RESEARCH WENT INTO THIS, BUT IT’S NOT BOGGED DOWN BY IT AND THE PLOT MOVES ALONG VERY WELL. I LOVED THIS!
— Review of Caterina…From the Georgia Romance Writers:
I finished Caterina and found the book delightful! I didn't want to put it down, truly. I was hooked on page one with the a) topic; and b) the voice, which was consistent throughout, and your protagonist. Well done!
You're a terrific writer. The writing is very smooth, the prose elegant. Your descriptions are vivid and lush, very evocative, especially the clothing!
I also thought your world building was wonderfully effective. The era is hard to capture with all the names and events, but you do so perfectly. I felt like I was in Florence in the 15th century. Your research really shows. Kudos to you! I love stories like this that are rich in history. For me, that's why I read historical fiction. I think you will get takers from publishers without too much difficulty.
